Returns, Freight & International Orders FAQ

This FAQ is provided for convenience and is subject to marine.shop’s full Shipping Policy, Refund Policy, Terms of Service, and any applicable product-specific conditions.

Returns

What is your return window?

Most eligible returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery. Returned items must be new, unused, and in the original manufacturer packaging with all included parts, manuals, and accessories.

Do I need approval before sending a return?

Yes. All returns require prior authorization from marine.shop before anything is sent back. Returns sent without approval may be refused or delayed.

Are any items non-returnable?

Yes. The following items are generally not returnable unless approved in advance:

·       Opened blister-pack items

·       Software

·       Special-order items

·       Clearance or closeout merchandise

·       Installed, used, or damaged products

·       Items missing original packaging or accessories

Are there restocking fees?

Eligible standard stock returns in new condition may be accepted without a restocking fee. Other returns may be reviewed case by case and may be subject to a restocking charge.

Who pays return shipping?

Unless the return is due to our error or a product confirmed defective on arrival, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

What if my item arrives damaged or defective?

Please contact us promptly with your order number, photos, and a description of the issue. Damaged or defective items are reviewed case by case so we can determine the best resolution.

Can original shipping charges be deducted from my refund?

Yes. If an order shipped under a promotional or flat-rate shipping program is returned for reasons other than our error or a confirmed defect, original outbound shipping charges may be deducted from the refund.

Freight & Oversized Shipments

Do all products qualify for standard shipping?

No. Some items are too large, heavy, or specialized for standard parcel service and may require freight shipping or a custom shipping quote.

What types of items may require freight shipping?

Examples may include:

·       Long antennas

·       Radars

·       Satellite TV antennas

·       Hot water heaters

·       Marine heads

·       Larger inverters or chargers

·       Windlasses

·       Trolling motors

·       Bow thrusters

·       Other oversized or heavy items

Can shipping charges change after I place an order?

For certain oversized, heavy, or special-order products, we may need to confirm shipping charges after checkout and contact you if additional freight charges apply.

Do you offer special delivery services?

Where available, services such as liftgate delivery, inside delivery, signature service, or other special handling may be arranged for an additional charge.

Are expedited shipping charges refundable if the carrier is late?

No. Shipping and upgrade charges are generally not refundable for carrier delays once the shipment is in transit.

Can I use my own carrier account?

In some cases, yes. Please contact us before placing your order if you would like to use your own shipping account or label.

International Orders

Do you accept international orders?

Yes, for selected products and destinations, subject to carrier availability, export restrictions, and product eligibility.

Are duties, VAT, taxes, or import fees included?

Unless clearly stated otherwise, import duties, VAT, customs charges, brokerage fees, and local taxes are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the product price or standard shipping charge.

Can all products ship internationally?

No. Some brands, battery-containing items, oversized goods, hazardous-material items, or manufacturer-restricted products may not be available for export or shipment to certain destinations.

Are international delivery times guaranteed?

No. International transit times are estimates only and may be affected by customs processing, carrier delays, local procedures, or other events outside our control.

Can international orders be returned?

International returns require prior approval and may be subject to stricter conditions. Original outbound shipping charges, return freight, customs charges, and brokerage fees are generally non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

What if customs delays, rejects, or seizes a shipment?

marine.shop is not responsible for delays, holds, refusals, or seizure caused by customs issues, import restrictions, or failure to provide required documentation. Customers are responsible for ensuring the products ordered can be legally imported into the destination country.
